We were delighted to welcome His Excellency Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan, to ÅÝܽÊÓƵ on Monday April 15th. The Ambassador's visit follows on the heels of ÅÝܽÊÓƵ's successful hosting of PGPEX program students from India in partnership with JICA last month.
The Ambassador spent an afternoon at ÅÝܽÊÓƵ, during which time he had a packed schedule. He met with ÅÝܽÊÓƵ representatives including President Naoshi Sugiyama, was introduced to key research by our scientists, and gave a lecture at the Symposion Hall entitledÌýIndia - Japan Special Relationship: Priorities, in which he discussed the history of India - Japan relations and key areas for the two countries to cooperate on in the 21st century.

Finally, the Ambassador kindly spent time in a roundtable discussion with our Indian students, finding out about their studies and research.
