Two ÅÝܽÊÓƵ faculty have received commendations for their contributions to science and technology from the Minister for Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

, of the Graduate School of Engineering, is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in the fields of Chemistry and Materials science. He received his commendation for his research into the synthesis of conductive, porous nanomaterials.

, of the Graduate School of Science, received the young scientist's award. One of ÅÝܽÊÓƵ's talented young researchers, she has previously received the L'Oreal-UNESCO Women in Science Japan National Fellowship and International Rising Talent awards. She received her commendation for her research into how plants respond to environmental stressors.
