The epigenome regulates genetic information in DNA in the process of differentiating from one fertilized egg into various organs and tissues. Epigenome abnormality is involved in the onset of cancer. We will visit a laboratory that is elucidating the mechanism of epigenome abnormality and developing new therapeutic agents and diagnostic methods.
